The best
This is the best car magazine for serious car enthusiasts except no substitutes.

$15 per issue is a rip.
You can easily pick this up at most major book stores for $5-8 dollars per issue.

Pretty good but not $15/issue
For those who love cars and would like to see how the other half lives, this is a great magazine. Highly focused on it's native British market, it makes for interesting and often amusing reading. If we had half the cars currently available in Europe/Great Britain, the big 3 would be gone.

However, a subscription price of nearly $15 per issue is flatly absurd. You can reliably pick this up each month at large book stores. It simply isn't worth that price.

Cars and a good sense of humour. The best available.
If you're interested in cars and can handle sarcasm and well founded criticism, give this magazine a try. Well illustrated and beautifully printed this really is the ultimate European car magazine. Main focus is on cars available on the UK market. Not to worry, the ones not available there aren't worth driving anyway. ... Read more

When Missy Elliott started singing about her Cadillac Escalade, it seemed that the zeitgeist required a "lifestyle" motoring magazine. Out there somewhere was a demographic for whom cars were cool in a way that wasn't reflected in the spannerhead motoring media. Traditionally, car magazines are read by people who have nothing better to do. Newsagents place them in close proximity to porn mags because they have the same readership. Then along came Intersection. The publishers of Dazed & Confused had dared to target a group who weren't that interested in variable rack steering systems but really wanted to know what a Pierre Cardin AMX Javelin looked like. The launch issue confused many people. Surely this would be a one-off publishing disaster. An article about what sort of cars hairdressers actually drive? Just silly. Fashion in a motoring title? Absurd. Then along came issues two and three and things got even worse. How gay was your car? Folding hard-tops are a dead giveaway apparently and mine was deemed "just gay enough". It was a genuine publishing phenomenon. There were enough people out there who cared about bizarre concept cars from the 70s and the automotive rivalry between the 2 Many DJs brothers (one drives a Saab, the other a Volvo) to keep the whole thing rolling along. Call it Wallpaper* with wheels if you must, but Intersection hasn't lost its sense of humour. Who else would test the kennelling abilities of a Mazda RX8 by putting a great dane in the back seat and taking him for a spin? They are now up to issue six and the motor's still running... ... In a league of their own...
The ultimate sportbike magazine--handsome format, printed on quality stock, tremendous depth of coverage, great pictures, delivered with the right dose of British wit and off-color humor. Brilliantly delivered (accessible by the non-engineer) technical information.

Costs a bit more, but well worth it. Lower soft-porn factor than the other euro bike mags, but much, much better.

Outstanding
Bike magazine is simply a beautiful and enlightening resource for the motorcyclist. The photography is art; the writing is exceptional and it covers the industry in its entirety.

Best over all Motorcycle magazine in US
Bike magazine has everything you want in a motorcycle magazine. Cool pictures, up to date information on latest bikes, DETAILED Bike information from most of the worlds moto manufacturers (not Harley).

So if you're not into harleys but like everything else, this bike magazine is for you. Real moto culture!

Worth every penny
Printed on premium quality paper with high-resolution printing and expensive ink. Seemingly unbiased reporting from editors with opinions which seem to closely parallel my own. Fantastic choice of cars. Great factual reporting.

And in the back of every issue: "The Knowledge"

The Knowledge is a huge table for hundreds of different cars giving such data as price, weight, 0-60 and various other very useful comparison points.

The best performance car magazine available
this is by far the best magazine i have ever read. while it does cost nearly twice the price of most automotive magazines available in the US the writing quality and the quality of the material is nearly twice that of most automotive magazines. they write only about performance cars of all prices and types. every time i have bought this magazine i have been happy with every article and i read it at every chance untill i have finished it. i would recomend this magazine to anyone with any interest in cars.

The Ultimate Supercar Publication
Evo magazines are more than just reading material. They are filled with extremely high quality full page, and quite often two-page spread pictures that are as stunning as they are artful. Also this magazine is very hard to find in stores, and if you do find one, its been read a thousand times, so I highly reccomend a subscription. Bottom line this is the ultimate supercar publication. Well worth the high cost, trust me.

Auto enthusiast must have!
This is simply one of the greatest car mags in any country. It focuses simply on performance models of all price ranges. Printed on big, thick, shiney quality paper but rather pricey. Why does the subscription price cost more than the newstand though? Most US car magazines will have maybe one feature on a desirable sports car, but my last issue of EVO had stories about Enzo Ferrari, Pagani Zonda, Ford GT, Porsche Carrera GT, and a 600+ hp Benz. The writers are very entertaining and no article ever bores you.

The evoness of evo
Like a lot of Brit car magazines, this one may strike U.S. readers as a bit pretentious. But I like it better than CAR or Top Gear (or most U.S. auto mags) because it doesn't clutter up its editorial pages with reviews of minivans, pickups and SUVs. Instead, it chooses and gives star-ratings to mostly sports cars and sports sedans, with a few econoboxes/"super-minis" thrown in, on the basis of their interest to and satisfaction of performance enthusiasts. Cheaper at the newstand...
Here are the facts: this is the best English-language general-interest car magazine in the world. This is a British magazine and you will fall in love with some random car that will never be sold in the states. And this is an expensive magazine. It's actually cheaper to buy on the newstand---try any medium-sized chain bookstore---than by subscription.

Other thoughts...if you like the racy end of the European cars, also check out Evo magazine.

for the real automotive enthusiast
The prose, the art direction, the wit -- no other english-language car magazine comes close to this level of perfection. Year-after-year, I feel like a kid unwrapping a gift when I get my monthly issue in the mailbox.

The Only Car Magazine to Read
The difference between Car and any other automotive magazine published today is that Car actually tells you if a car is good or bad. Now, this may sound somewhat strange, but if you think about it, just about every other magazine's reviews will conclude with "pretty good for its class" (whatever that means) or "not bad" even when they are reviewing something that the manufacturer should be ashamed to have released. Road & Track for example seems to be unable to admit for whatever reason how truly appaling some cars are to drive and devolves into a Consumer Reports format where cars are rated like toasters: what are the features and how much does it cost?

At the back of every issue of Car, they mercilessly deride the incompetent and celebrate the magnificent.

If you want to read a magazine well written by intellgent people (Rowan Atkinson is a former contributor), then Car is for you. If you want to read a magazine that gives you information on what it is like to drive a car rather than just a catalog of its statistics, then Car is for you. Look no further.

Still the best
After 20 years reading this magazine I still wait for it to come out every month.

The Finest, Best-Written Car Magazine on the Planet!
CAR is one of those few gems in the world that you just hope will stay around forever. Not only is it a great read, but it is important as well. While our magazines on this side of the pond "dumb-down" and give stellar ratings to ducks like the Viper and Corvette, CAR has the integrity to expose [magazines] like those 2 and tell it like it is. When they tested the Chevy Camaro they called it the "Worst car sold in Britain" and said that the interior plastics were on par with "breakfast cereal prizes" in quality. Funny, but true stuff. That SAME month Car & Driver said the SAME Camaro was a great little car. Nuff said.

I HAVE SUBSCRIBED TO THIS MAGAZINE FOR A FEW YEARS. IF YOU OWN A LATE MODEL GM VEHICLE AND WANT THE LATEST IN MODIFICATIONS AND PRODUCT INFORMATION THIS IS THE MAGAZINE FOR YOU.
WHILE I HAVE BEEN A SUBSCRIBER, THIS MAGAZINE HAS FLUCTUATED ANYWHERE FROM GREAT TO AVERAGE. THIS MAY HAVE TO DO MORE WITH MY INTEREST IN WHAT IS FEATURED RATHER THAN THE QUALITY OF THE PRESENTED CONTENT WHICH IS USUALLY VERY GOOD. THE MAGAZINE HAS DETAILED "HOW TO", FEATURE CARS, PROJECT CARS, HIGH AND LOW END TECHNICAL, RACE, PART REVIEWS, ETC.
THE HIGH PERFORMANCE GEAR HEAD COULD NOT ASK FOR MORE.

THE BIGGEST DOWNSIDE TO THIS MAGAZINE IS THAT IT IS VERY THIN COMPARED TO OTHER AUTO MAGAZINES THAT USUALLY HAVE TWICE AS MANY PAGES, BUT COME WITH TWICE AS MANY ADS. ... Read more
