Want to start a business and don't know how¡H
This is a good place to get idea's for small businesses. I like to get idea's from people who have thought of it and the business works. But be more careful cause i think some of them only works for certain cases only. Try taking a look at this magazine and be your own judge on the quality of this magazine.

Power Packed with DO-able Opportunities
My husband got this magazine in hopes of finding ideas for starting a home based business. He admits, that he is jealous that I work from home and get to spend so much time with the kids. As a work at home expert, (I am founder of WebMomz.com and have written a book on the subject) I QUITE familiar with the subject matter. THESE GUYS HAVE DONE THEIR HOMEWORK! There is a wealth of information in here. They offer both entreprenuer type businesses AND "franchise" type ideas for the "not-so-creative" home biz wanna-be. I found myself bookmarking pages left and right. I have read some others that are all MLM hype - no thank you. Small Biz Opportunities is the REAL THING with REAL opportunities. Don't invest without it.
IBD is the best newspaper and news source for investing or just good business advice.

I wouldn't invest or be without it.

Great no nonsense newspaper!
IBD gets straight to the point. There is no fluff here. This paper caters to investors and it knows just how to do it. The editors constantly focus on earnings and relevant news facts. It has a strong section that deals with commodities and futures.They have also added a commentary area on foreign currencies as well. Being an 11 year veteran of futures and commodites, as both an investor, broker ... This is my primary periodical second only to Barron's Weekly.

IDB is an excellant search tool for stocks
IDB is an excellant tools to search for great stocks. I always start with IDB when looking for a new stock then go to clearstation to look at the technical anyalisis. I have done well even in this bear market.

IBD is a must for serious investors
Its hard for me to imagine screening stocks without IBD. There are no analysts opinions.......just the facts. Is the particular stock or industry group doing well? Or how is that industry group doing vs an index? The information IBD provides me has been has been invaluable. ... Read more

Great if you're in the business but
For those in publishing, this is a terrific resource for keeping track of who's doing what. The book reviews often lead me to books I wouldn't have found any other way and their articles are pretty interesting if you want to publish or be published. However, that said, the price is nuts for an individual and I would strongly suggest reading it at your library. If they don't carry it, you can request that they do.

Five stars for those in the book trade, one for most others
Publishers Weekly is a staple of the publishing business. Editors, publishers, agents, writers, reviewers, and booksellers pony up the exorbitant subscription fees so they can be the first to know about upcoming releases, changes in personnel, and hot deals. Each week the magazine features an author, sometimes famous, sometimes up-and-coming. They run features on audio books, religious releases, children's books, and many others throughout the course of the year. The weekly forecast section runs short reviews of books (in all genres) that will be released over the next three months, giving readers a glimpse of the future. The PW bestseller lists are reliable indicators of what is selling in bookstores all over the United States.

Publishers Weekly is probably the only magazine that sells its cover to advertisers, giving you an idea of the type of trade journal it is. I do not recommend it for anyone who is not associated with publishing. But for those who are, this is a professional expense you won't regret spending. ... Read more

A Must-have!
I feel that this magazine only continues to improve. The writing is fun, informative and irreverant at appropriate times. The stories are up-to-date and shed light on aspects of Pittsburgh life that otherwise may not be discussed, and the photography is wonderful. It's a great mix of serious topics, fun facts and information that helps me discover new things about the city--new places to eat, events to attend, things to see. I highly recommend it for anyone who lives in or loves Southwestern PA.

Spiraling down
This used to be a really great city mag, full of humor and style that made it must reading for people in the area. But now it's stiff and unimaginative. Pass on this one.

I look forward to receiving this mag every month! Pittsburgh is one of those cool, little-known cities and Pittsbugh magazine gives you everything you need to know to have a blast there.
