5-0 out of 5 stars hi!!!!!!!!!
I love Nick Jr. Magazine. It is very fun and interesting. I love Face From Nick Jr. On the t.v.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good for Kids and Parents
Nick Jr. is divided in to 3 sections - one for parents, one for parents and kids, and one pull out just for kids. My 4 year old son loves the pull out section and we go through it cover to cover. It's not real large - usually 10 pages, but it usually has stories, blues clue games, small activities and information presented in a kid-friendly way and featuring their favorite nick jr. friends. I've found plenty of interesting articles for myself in this journal, as well as some cool activities and recipes in the parent/child section. If your child likes the Nick Jr. shows, they will like the magazine. Be warned though, although there are no adds in the child only portion of the magazine, there are a fair amount in the rest of the mag.

5-0 out of 5 stars Nick Jr. Magazine is the best!
I really like this magazine because it has great activities for the kids and wonderful articles for the adults. My daughter looks forward to getting the magazine in the mail because she knows that we are going to have a lot of FUN.

5-0 out of 5 stars Powerful parenting tool! It's FUN and GOOD FOR YOU!
We've gotten our first few of these, and I couldn't be more pleased. 5 stars means just that! I don't see how this could be improved! It has pullout sections, games, things to do together, as well as articles for parents! I get as much enjoyment from it as my kids do (5, 7, 13). The recent issue is how to make school subjects into games at home--it's excellent! As a parent pursuing a teaching credential, I give this one 2 thumbs up!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Fun-Filled Magazine for parents and tots!
I found this to be a fun filled magazine that my four year old daughter loved to look at. There were many fun filled activities for her to take part in and some great craft ideas and also top[ notch information just for parents.
A real winner.

5-0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT MAGAZINE!
My 3 year old has always loved Pooh. Everytime we check the mail, he will ask me if his Pooh book is here. I would suggest this magazine to anyone with children, young and old. My son spends about an hour looking at his magazine, he feels so grown-up to be getting mail.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Must Have Magazine
Adoptive Families is a must have magazine for families created through adoption. I am currently waiting to travel to China to get my daughter, but I have already found this magazine to be invaluable. The great things is that all kinds of adoption are discussed, domestic, open, international. It is reassuring to know that there are so many other families that were created through adoption. You know you are not alone in what you are going through too. The advertising is great too!

5-0 out of 5 stars Adoptive Families Magazine has Opened My Mind's Doors
When I received my first issue of Adoptive Families Magazine,
I could not wait to read it! It felt great to feel connected to
many of the writer's stories. My husband and I are waiting for our first American, adopted newborn and this magazine continues to educate us on the adoption process. I recognize a few of the magazine's writers and advisory committee members attending their lectures and through books they have written. Also, there are diverse viewpoints and laws that appear to be changing due to this network. After months researching adoption, I feel the adoption community in America is a kind of family and just beginning to grow.

5-0 out of 5 stars Essential and enjoyable reading for adoptive parents
If you're an adoptive parent, you need to subscribe to Adoptive Families, which includes practical parenting advice, stories about or by adoptive parents, news on the latest federal and state laws, discussions of common problems, and so much more. Adoptive Families is also an important resource for people who are planning to adopt their first child (or second, third, and so on).

I've been a subscriber for years, and strongly recommend this publication.

4-0 out of 5 stars interesting and thoughtful
A friend sent me the first issue of this magazine.I didn't know what to think of it since I don't really read Cosmo, Vogue or any of the standard women's magazines on a regular basis (just sometimes on airplanes). The articles are varied and interesting relating to issues that arise in relationship and often never discussed (bank accounts, fertility etc.).I would ditch the conditioner report.. didn't really get any useful info and it was too chaotic to be even interesting. It is heavier reading than the standard Cosmo fare and would definitely make good airplane reading!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great magazine for the thinking woman
In my experience, you can never get really intelligent information about relationships in magazines. There is a little of this and a little of that in Glamour or Ladies Home Journal (Can this marriage be saved??? Well??) But why wasn't there an "expert" magazine like Bon Appetit is for food or Business Week is for business about relationships?Tango is that expert magazine.AND it's a lot of fun to read.

4-0 out of 5 stars Essential Reading for the contemporary woman
Finally a magazine that tries to discuss the issues which are relevant to the all important relationship between a man and a woman without putting you to sleep. Many of you may have been tired to seeing all the magazines that are currently available for sale...a beautiful woman on the cover and an extremely superficial coverage of that so eye catching title on the cover page..makes you feel cheated if you bought the magazine or even spent the time to browse it.

Well Tango is different. Its founder Andrea Miller, started this magazine precisely because she found that there was no magazine that appealed to the intelligent woman reader and talked of the one issue that was most important to her, which was her relationship whether it be with her lover, her boyfriend, her fiance or her husband.

So what do you do with your man after you have grabbed him and start a long lasting relationship is what she and Tango set out to examine. Whether it is issues of women in the workplace or how couples manage money, how they can live together without driving each other crazy are all issues worthy of Tango and its readers..I have thoroughly enjoyed the premier issue that has a wonderful article on Desperate Housewives hunk Jamie Denton as a cover feature...very real and very not Cosmo for sure..this magazine is worth a look. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars If I had to chose only one publication - this would be it.
Of all the Catholic magazines and newspapers we receive, National Catholic Register is my favorite because it gives a weekly overview of what is happening in our nation, around the world and within the Church. It is written in a tone that is neither "liberal" nor "ultra traditional" but solid in the Catholic faith. NCR also contains social commentary, spiritual essays/ meditations, and has a back cover-"front page" of pro-life news. Their acticle are excellent (without being over my head) and indepth (without being too long for my busy life). I highly recommend it!

5-0 out of 5 stars A very relevant, intelligent and well-written newspaper
When I first subscribed to the Register, I wasn't sure if I was going to get a well-done paper or just a cheaply edited, not-so-good account of issues important to Catholics. The former was definately the case, and I read the Register faithfully every week. I was immediately impressed with how well the paper is edited and how intelligent the articles and commentaries are. The Register provides a thorough, unbiased and informed account of what is happening in the Church throughout the world, what is happening with Catholic families and institutions, as well as a host of other issues that are on center stage today. The perspectives are from a truly Catholic point of view but are not propaganda pieces. The intelligence of the reader is employed and stimulated in the presentation of the issues.

I highly reccommend the Register to anyone, Catholic or not, who wants to read intelligently written and relevant articles about the Church, morality, arts and culture, education, and other issues of importance to the Church and the modern world.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great alternative to the "national catholic reporter."
If you're looking for a faithful catholic newspaper, the national catholic register is the way to go. Where the reporter goes wrong, the register goes right. That is to say, the reporter is a sad excuse for a "catholic" newspaper. They claim to be free of church influence, and the irony is that they really are.

The register has been around for quite a long time, and I would suggest checking it out.

5-0 out of 5 stars Real News! Real Catholic!
The Register holds a special place in our house... my husband and I try very hard to be charitable when it arrives and not say "Its MINE" and lock ourselves away in the bathroom (away from the six children). My oldest children (10 and 8) are now starting to make time to read it. They especially enjoy the back page, with pro-life news and the cartoon of "Umbert the Unborn." This paper isn't as shrill and depressing as "The Wanderer." The Register is also ten times more deserving of the "Catholic" title than "The National Catholic Reporter." the Register doesn't shy away from problems in the Church, but neither does it turn a blind eye to the GOOD things going on, either. We live, after all, in the springtime of evalngelization!

5-0 out of 5 stars This Newspaper Brought Me into the Church
Yes, it's true. Nine years ago, while attending the Catholic Church, out of convenience, with my wife, I first picked up the National Catholic Register. It was sitting in a rack outside of the sanctuary.

I quickly became hooked. The paper offered a perspective that I had never read before and each week I couldn't wait to read the next issue.

In the process, the paper also taught me about the faith. I converted from the Lutheran Church to Catholicism in 1995. Never did I expect that I would one day write and edit for the newspaper.

Yet, that is what I do today. I serve as features correspondent and Culture of Life editor, so I'm hardly unbiased. Still, it's a wonderful paper - filled with insightful commentary, news from a perspective you will not see elsewhere, and is hopeful. Most importantly, it's in line with Church teaching. I still read the paper from cover to cover each week.

If you've never seen the newspaper, or have confused it with the less-than-faithful National Catholic Reporter, do yourself a favor and subscribe today. You won't be sorry.

It's a great gift for friends, family, or children who have fallen away or need to be reawakened to the beauty and richness of the Catholic faith. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Good magazine for boy scouts
My son is a Boy Scout and really enjoys this magazine. Jokes and puzzles are probably more appropriate for Cub age than the big boys but my son still thinks they are funny. A lot like the scout skits.

Not sure I would pay the money to subscribe on my own - he gets it from his scout troop. It is a healthy, wholesome magazine though and there are VERY few of those out there for boys this age.

1-0 out of 5 stars Lame
Back in the 1980's, yours truly was a husky lad, squeezing himself into his trusty Scout uniform. Want to keep up on the latest in Scouting? Well, read Boys' Life! It had some fine features on Scouting, and some really awful, not even close to funny cartoons featuring "Pedro" the burro, and "Dink and Duff". ...my Dad bought me a subscription, and I thought it was quite lame. Fast forward to 2004: What is keeping this magazine alive? It is so anemic, so fluffy. I guess the dumbing down started by "Maxim" has even affected a G-rated kids' magazine. It still has "Pedro" and "Dink and Duff", but not much else. It was awful then, and even worse now. Were kids ever innocent enough to enjoy this? ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Simply the BEST!
Growing up with Walt's Disneyland, I was hungry for anything relating to the hidden facts and history of this most Magic of Kingdoms. Once I discovered "The 'E' Ticket", it turned out to be everything I had hoped for and more. I imediately subscribed and ordered every back issue, grateful that I have a totally complete set. ("Ticket" is totally subscription supported and accepts NO ADVERTISING!!!)

Using incredible rarely or never befor seen archival construction photos, glimpses or original artwork, and extensive interviews with Imagineers past and present, "Ticket" sets the record strait, puts rumors to rest, and finally gives long-overdue credit to the brilliant men and women that created Disneyland, it's attractions, shows and more.

"The 'E' Ticket" is more than appropriatly titled, and like Disneyland itself, nothing short of a MUST for fans of Walt Disney and Disney Parks alike.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Disney Theme Park Magazine
E-Ticket brings to life the story of one attraction each issue. The story comes to life through the words of the imagineers that worked on the ride, as well as pictures taken of the attraction.
Some rides are no longer at Disneyland, so for a young man like myself, it's cool to see ideas of the past, like the Mine Train. Even seeing rides that are still around today is interesting to read about. Some of the rides have changed so much, that they are far different than their former self.
If your interested in the technical views of the park, this is also a great magazine for you. The magazine goes into detail on how the ride works, and why some of them have failed.
For the true fan of Disney's theme parks, this is the best magazine for you. Brings you back into the magic four times a year, without paying the extra cash to go to the park. ... Read more
