3-0 out of 5 stars Is this what your really looking for?
Flex is a great magazine. I'm not afraid to say it, but what I am afraid to say is that every person in this magazine is on about a thousand dollar a month steroid budget. I liked the training tips given, however, and I think that the routines are well-rounded, and give people much more muscle. If you are an incredibly intense musclehead, then this magazine is for you. If you are intrested in looking good rather then having "sick" biceps then try a magazine like Muscle and Fitness, a more fitness diversified magazine.

5-0 out of 5 stars Happy 20th anniversary Flex!
Having been in the Iron Game for nearly 40 years, I have seen the Weider magazines transition from Mr. America, All American Athlete, Muscle Power, Muscle Builder, and Vigor to Muscle & Fitness and Flex.

I bought the very first issue of Flex. For the record, Chris Dickerson was on the cover and wow has Flex evolved since that first issue.

And so has the sport of bodybuilding. Physiques have gotten bigger but I am not sure they have gotten better. In my mind, Arnold is still the greatest of all time based on size, symetry, shape and muscularity.

I enjoyed the piece on Lou Ferrigno as well. It is almost a shame that he got the role of the Incredible Hulk which curtailed his bodybuilding career but I am not sure that Big Lou would have gone much further than he did. Robby Robinson handily defeated Ferrigno at the MASTERS MR. O in 1993/1994 and would have taken Louie in the 70's. So would have Columbo and Zane.

In another regard, Serge Nubret is listed as a darkhorse and squeezed Lou into third place behind Arnold with the Black Panther Nubret a close second. Are the publishers aware that Serge Nubret won his height class in the 1960 IFBB Mr. Universe narrowly losing to the legendary Chuck Sipes and defeating AAU Mr. America/NABBA Mr. Universe Ray Schaeffer? Or that Nubret finished 2nd in the 1964 NABBA PRO Mr. Universe and third in the 1972 IFBB Mr. Olympia behind Arnold and Sergio but ahead of Franco Columbu and Frank Zane. Nubret could hardly be called a darkhorse---He had been competing at the highest level before Arnold, Oliva, Zane, Columbu or Ferrigno even started training!

Nubret ranks right up there with Arnold and Oliva. At his best he had muscularity and a aesthetic physique. He was sort of like a cross between Arnold and Zane. Aside from having a world class physique, Nubret was also a world class promoter/ambassador for the sport of bodybuilding and was primarily responsible for building the IFBB in Europe back in the 70's. Flex should do a article on this legend.

Other than that, Flex was a great issue and I am looking forward to being a reader for many years to come.

4-0 out of 5 stars About SERGIO OLIVA in new issue of Flex.....
I am glad to see that the Weiders are once again featuring The Myth-Sergio Oliva in the mainstream Weider publications.

Oliva made quite an impact back in the 60's. He had an an incredible V-shape and was huge. When Sergio hit a most muscular shot--it was positively mind blowing! Then Oliva would throw those huge arms overhead and hit his signature pose which nobody could come close to.

My only complaint with the articles was the inference that Sergio won NABBA/WABBA and WBBG shows against "mediocre" competition?

Serge Nubret, Bertil Fox, Kalman Szkalak, Dave Johns and Tony Pearson, just to name a few, could hardly be called "mediocre" competition. Nubret beat Ferrigno, Zane, Columbo and others and all of the above mentioned men were Mr. Universe winners.

Szkalak beat Mike Mentzer for the IFBB Mr. Universe and Dave Johns beat Casey Viator for the NABBA Mr. Universe.

In 1976, Dan Lurie's WBBG organization, hosted a Pro show called 'Mr. Olympus that rivalled that years 'Mr Olympia. Oliva won that beating Nubret, Tony Emott (Pro Mr. Universe) Chris Dickerson among others.

Flex mag is a great hardcore mag. Great you are doing features on Oliva, how about doing one on Nubret and Draper now.

3-0 out of 5 stars Depending on what your looking for....
Yes FLEX is a good magazine (I've been a subscriber for many years), however it depends on what is it that you're looking for in weightlifting and nutrition. If you inspire to look like these gentlemen on the covers of FLEX, ok. But if your looking to be fit, eat healthy, be active, FLEX might be a little to much for you. After a while you'll realize that you will not (and would not want to) look like most of these giants of the sport. On a positive side, the pictures and routines are very helpfull and motivating. And their nutrition articles are helpfull too.

5-0 out of 5 stars Definitely the BEST BodyBuilding mag.
I have read numerous bodybuilding mags over the past few years and Flex is the Best out there. Great infos on nutrition, excerise and pics. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Interesting Information You'll Actually Use
I think some of these reviewers are missing the point. Organic Style isn't a gardening magazine -- which is why I like it. It's more of a lifestyle guide to living better, feeling better and looking better. I'm not a vegetarian or a rabid organic advocate -- just an ordinary suburban mom looking for ideas for eating healthier, simplifying things around the house and putting together an outfit that doesn't make me look ridiculous. I found this magazine has great ideas that I actually use (unlike other magazines I get where they are filled with ideas suitable only for a movie star lifestyle or people with a personal chef). For example, they recently recomended an organic fruit and cereal bar my kids love -- and it's so much better for them. I can use that a lot more than spying the $2,000 baby booties Elizabeth Hurley bought. So if you're looking for a guide to make small changes that will make your life healthier, this magazine is a good place to start.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Magazine for the Organic Lifestyle
If you love yoga and find yourself wandering in the organic product section of your local grocery store, then this magazine might interest you. If not for the amusing articles about learning ujjayi breathing; for all the information on food, beauty products and lifestyle choices included for the organically aware.

In the June 2004 issue they featured an interesting website that shows you how toxic your zip code is. I was relieved to find that I had moved to an area with good air quality even though I keep an air purifier running constantly. They say the air inside your home can be more toxic than the air outside.

This magazine makes you more aware of all the resources you really do have to enhance your life and the advertising is at least encouraging instead of annoying. I am now lusting after a Dyson vacuum, thinking about trying out some new Wai Lana Yoga workout videos and dreaming about buying all the natural skin care products featured throughout the magazine.

Dr. Tieraona answers questions in a living well section. Although, I was wondering why she didn't recommend a product like Emer'gen-C "Lite" to the person asking about their afternoon slump.

"Create a Butterfly Garden" will be an article to clip and save for future gardening projects. It may be time to buy some purple coneflowers. You can also read about nontoxic fertilizers and pesticides.

Veronique Vienne has an article in the June 2004 issue about entertaining even if you're shy or broke. She recommends things like cooking with butter and fragrant herbs and lighting honeysuckle candles. Just reading about her adventures made me hungry. There also seem to be pages of decorating tips, sports features and information on lifestyle choices for families. This magazine promotes healthy life choices like balancing family and work or finding healthy food on the go. There "How to Pack a Picnic" gave me some great ideas for a summer picnic. Now if only I could escape into Vincent Van Gogh's painting "Landscape at St. Remy."

If you enjoy using organic ingredients, you will find a few recipes and the Stuffed Summer Squash is a recipe I'll try as soon as I can find some small yellow summer squash. There were tips on how to save money on Organic foods, which yes are slightly more expensive in general. Although, you might notice you spend less money on doctor visits or other areas of your life because healthy choices do make you feel much more healthy over time.

While this magazine is all about Organic, it is not Vegetarian focused. You will still find recipes for Crispy Chicken Drumettes to go along with your String Bean and Fennel Salad. They had a taste test for organic cookies and I have to agree the Country Choice Organic Sandwich Cremes are better than an Oreo cookie.

Overall, I found this magazine to be highly enjoyable to read in the bath or out on the deck. If you have just returned from planting flowers by the light of the moon, you might enjoy reading this magazine while soaking in an Aura Cacia Purify Aromatherapy Mineral Bath scented with the fragrance of flowers and spicy wood.

I've asked my husband for a subscription for my birthday because I thought this was a great way to remind myself to eat healthy and exercise regularly. Organic Style not only makes you more aware of your lifestyle choices, it presents some interesting options. You can now even buy natural wheat litter for your cat
that is safe and non-toxic for kittens. I finally found some at Petsmart and plan to clip the dollar coupon. I'm dreaming of finding a new kitten.

4-0 out of 5 stars For the way we really are
As a mother, wife, daughter and also balancing work, I want to do the best I can. In addition, I want to make a difference in this world. I care about the environment as well, and I want some help in how to do it. Since I'm new at it, but also want convenience and style, Organic Style is my magazine to tell me how. I love sections on how to live greener (e.g. how to grow your lawn organically, what washing machines to pick, laundry detergents) and food that is healthier but not sacrificing taste. I love to dream with the retreats and vacations the magazine features. It also portrays different women in all shapes, sizes and ages being unique and individual. I think this magazine is a breath of fresh air. It is exactly what I was looking for: a balance between who I am and who I want to become.

1-0 out of 5 stars Organic Pain
The first issue of Organic Style I ever had the misfortune of reading contained an article about a woman's emotional journey as she searched for the right hair color for herself under the "soul" category of the magazine. And that, is but a taste of the completely absurd articles this magazine chooses to print.
Everytime I pick up the magazine (and now that's only when other reading material is unavailable) I feel annoyed. This is the one magazine I have found where not even a page interests me. A sample of what is included: the "green Buzz" in which we find out which celebrities have bought some eco-friendly product, like organic corn or something. Next there are all kinds of "organic beauty products". So if your the kind of person who's interested in organic wild mint muscle soothers, you might like this magazine. Next, there's a section on how to decorate your house in an organic way, which, apparetnly includes shelling out hundreds of dollars, or maybe a pillow. And then there's a section on, well, in the latest issue (July/ August)on how to let your natural beauty shine through. So eat lots of spinach salad and embrace your stress!. Then, as, in most magazines, there's a recipe section full or yes, organic recipes. But the winner for most annoying section of all has to go to "Soul." I have not yet read an article that has been meaningful, or has not made me cringe.
So, if this is what you're looking for, then Organic Style is for you. However, I would strongly suggest you stay away from this.... thing. If you really want to live in an "Organic way" I'd suggest you start a vegetable garden, and stay away from chemicles and pesticides. This magazine will not get you anywhere.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not much there there
The first time I read Organic Style, there was an entire "story" dedicated to organic fiber clothing. I thought it was expensive, but a stylish twist on the typical burlap sack style of earth-conscious dress. That was almost a year ago, and since then I've seen the magazine shift towards hippie resort fashion, or "natural" style, with a heavy emphasis on high cost, celebrity desert dwellings, and fancy "natural" products. I half expected to see a "do" and "don't " page! "Organic" as a definition has come to mean something very specific, about the lack of pesticides or renewable resource-type living. I know I'll be waiting my whole life to see a fashion/lifestyle magazine that doesn't use bleached cotton and sweatshop labor, so I'm not going to be too idealistic. Organic Style IS pretty, but these days there is not much there, there. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Shell Of It's Former Self
I wrote a glowing review of this magazine a while back before they changed the content. I felt the need write another review, so no one would be misled by the earlier one, thinking this was the same magazine.

The magazine has recently been revamped and is shallow beyond words. It's now nothing more than the usual glamour magazine targeted toward women with a fluff article or two on alternative healing thrown in for appearances sake only. After years of getting a magazine with indepth and very informative articles on alternative medicine, I routinely throw this new model in the garbage the moment it arrives at my home.

Don't waste your time or money. I won't be renewing my subscription.

1-0 out of 5 stars Misleading title- nothing "Natural" about it
This magazine title should be changed. It is no longer "Natural Health". The revamped magazine includes sections on makeup, home decorating, articles on weight loss and healthier diets (not natural diets). It has become very mainstream. This magazine reminds me of Glamour or Woman's Day. Another complaint I have aside from the fluff content is there are more ads than content, that is not an exaggeration. Count them. You will find over 50% of the pages are ads.

Here's an example: this month (MAY 2004) had an article about jet lag and one of the ways to lesson the lag was "sleeping pills/waking pills". This may help jetlag, but it's not "natural health" and an alternative should be listed, although professionals may recommend pills.

Another complaint, is every month there is an article focusing on weight loss. Sounds like a typical mainstream magazine, although it's not as good as the mainstream magazines. I do not recommend this magazine if you are actually looking for info on "Natural Health".

1-0 out of 5 stars Fluff Fluff Fluff
I agree with the other reviewers. I was so disappointed when this magazine was re-vamped. It is all fluff, fluff, fluff now and in the past it offered so much information centering around holistic and organic remedies. The title really is a mis-representation of it's contents now. You might as well buy any other number of shallow women's magazines for the same type of content. I was glad to find these reviews that verified my feelings on the new content because I thought it was just me. And as the other reviewer said, the magazine doesn't have a "letter to the editor" section anymore because if it did I'm sure it would get an earful from all it's (previous)loyal readers. I'm cancelling my subscription and going with Prevention or something like that.

1-0 out of 5 stars We live in a capitalistic society
Natural Health must have been changed (mainstreamed) to attract more readers and bring in more money. Unfortunately for the original NH reader, and for the businesspeople at American Media, Inc., it hasn't accomplished what it set out to do. Too late now.

1-0 out of 5 stars A once great magazine is now a superficial one
I am so glad I came to Amazon to express how I feel about the changes in Natural Health. Literally, there was no way to express myself now that in the new Natural Health, there are no longer "letters to the editor" and try as I might, I could NOT find ANYONE to write to to speak of my displeasure.
This used to be a truly alternative magazine that had vegan recipes, and intelligent meaningful articles, real alternative health advice and in depth articles about spirituality. No longer. Now it has ads for grotesque knee-high leather boots, how to cook a turkey, expensive Madison avenue fashion, how eating ice cream is good for you(?), and with Atkins ads now on the back pages. The last issue, I couldn't believe my eyes, it was about taking pharmaceuticals when you are healthy to prevent disease in later life (give me a break).
The owners have totally forsaken those of us who truly live a simple and cruelty-free lifestyle, eat a plant-based diet, live life without drugs and are truly interested real spirituality.
Thanks to all of you who wrote similiar reviews...it is so nice to see I wasn't the only one who noticed these changes. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Only 6 issues a year?!
I read every exercise and fitness magazine I can get my hands on. I train 6 days a week and am always looking for new recipes and ways to spice up my workouts. I DO LIKE this magazine. It has a lot of little tips and news bites that make it an easy and informative read.
...But, I do not think it packs enough info to make it worth the price. At only 6 issues a year it is far more expensive then Oxygen or even Hers M&F. And some of the models look skinny and untoned. The BEST fitness magazine out there is Oxygen with Hers M&F being second. Both are full of great tips and the models are real fitness competitors. Check out Oxygen before you do anything.

5-0 out of 5 stars Worth Reading Every Page
I've been an "off again/on again" athlete for years and now, at 45 years old, needed this magazine to re-inspire me to get out there and get back in shape! It's format is so easy to read, you can spend 30 seconds or 30 minutes and still feel like you've just hit on something new/different/great! I would highly recommend this magazine...

5-0 out of 5 stars Definitely a "get up and exercise" magazine!
My husband and I were in a Barnes and Noble one friday night approx..9pm and I picked up this magazine..I could not believe how motivating a magazine can be. From its simple articles on how "average women" took control of themselves and got "fit"..not just lost weight. You will find motivational "success stories", exercise tips, weight training tips, and delicious recipes. To say how motivated I was I went home and tried out a workout I found for my elliptical...and it was a GREAT workout, can't wait to do it again today! 1-0 out of 5 stars This is a MISTAKE
This magazine referred my wife to a COLLECTION AGENCY ! For a $12 subscription! This is absolutely ridiculous. As a husband, I am very supportive of purchasing anything my wife thinks is educational for hery pregnancy. However, trying to settle your bill with this company is absurd. Have you tried to find an 800 # on their website to reach someone lately? I'm also curious as to why they bill for an entire year when pregnancy lasts nine months? Of all of the things to take care of during pregnancy, I can tell you that dealing with a collection agency for a $12 bill is not at the top of anybody's list.

4-0 out of 5 stars A Great Mag for New and Old Moms alike
If you like Shape mag, then you will thoroughly enjoy Fit Pregnancy.I have had a great experience with them. The inital issue may take a few weeks, but that's just their release cycle. The magazine has great articles and the fashion ranges from high end to bargain shoppers.I don't know but perhaps some of the long delay for the other reviewer could have been going through a third party to subscribe (like Amazon).I went to their website and subscribed.I still subscribe even though I'm not pregnant right now.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't subscribe - you'll be sorry!
I don't know what happened to all the other reviews of this magazine - hmmmm, they're all gone now.But I'll tell you, they were all pretty bad.If you subscribe to this magazine, expect problems that will include a long-delayed start and missing issues that will NOT be resolved when you contact customer service. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Running Times is the runner's best resource
I am writing because I believe the most recent review of Running Times paints an inaccurate picture of the magazine. From my perspective, Running Times is a much better resource than Runner's World for serious runners, serious athletes, AND the rest of us who are serious ABOUT our running.

My experiences with Runner's World make me think about the thousands of people who "run" road races all across the United States. I put run in quotes because there are plenty of people who run races to finish the race, very noble goal. Runner's World provides quick suggestions for making longer races interesting (i.e. take a camera on a secenic race course and take some pictures). Great idea to get people out for races, but not a good idea for someone who wants to improve their race time. Gallowalking will get you to the finishline, but if you have been training appropriately, it will not drop your race times.

My experiences with Running Times tend to make me think of those people who want to drop a minute from their 5k PR. Whether you are running 21 minute 5k's or running 16 minute 5k's, Running Times will provide runners who are interested in improving their running with the information they need to improve. Pete Pfitzinger in particular brings an incredible wealth of scientific and real-world training and racing knowledge to each issue of the magazine.

I highly recommend Running Times to anyone who is serious ABOUT their running.

2-0 out of 5 stars I prefer Runner's World
As I write this review, there are only two reviews of Running Times right now and I feel like I need to add my two cents. A big reason I subscribed to Running Times was based on these two positive reviews.

I subscribed to Runner's World before I had ever heard of Running Times. I wanted even more motivation to get out there and run distance, so I subscribed to both. Running Times concentrates too much on athlete runners and "destination spots" to run... like Hawaii or the Rocky Mountains, places that have beautiful pictures but are of no interest to me and my running. Furthermore, Running Times concentrates on individual races and results with more detail than I care for. I really don't need a one-page article on the Chicago marathon. I find the occasional article about eating better or training for a better 5k/10k/marathon in Running Times, but those articles are pretty sparse.

I grab an issue of Runner's World and it's the complete opposite. I get information about training, eating, injury prevention, stretching, etc. It has the same kind of race calendar as Running Times for the 5 and 10k's that I want to run. It's information that I can use as a runner. If you'd rather get information about how to improve YOUR running and not stories about running, stick with Runner's World.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great advise and prevention magazine
Running Times is one of two running magazines we subscribe to. It offers some valuable and well tested advise for the novice and well as the seasoned runner, on diet and injury prevention and care after the fact. I recommend it to anyone seriously interested in running.

5-0 out of 5 stars For the serious runner on any level
"Running Times" is for runners who compete either against others, or who simply have a great desire to run well.

Well written, and cleanly organized, you'll read about the training methods of top runners, and the top techniques for meeting a specfic goal.

Marathoners and 5Kers will find that there is a lot to be learned from each other's distance, and they'll have the chance here.

For stats junkies, the people who love to read who won the Juniper Days 5K in Upper Nowhere City... oh, the feast you will have! As a stats junkie myself, I thumb through the times quickly before devouring every detail.

I fully recommend this magazine.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not for Spanish students
I subscribed to this magazine because I'm an Intermediate Spanish student. To my disappointment, the magazine is mostly English with only some paragraphs here and there in Spanish. Lots and lots of advertising which is mostly in Spanish.

3-0 out of 5 stars Try it!
Latina is a great, easy-to-read magazine that attempts to incorporate everything an 18 to 30 something year old Latina would care about. It scratches the surface of fashion, beauty, politics, and culture. The articles are informative, but unfortunately not too in-depth. However, it's just about the only magazine out there that addresses make-up for the Latina skin tone, clothes for the Latina body, and Latino political, health and cultural issues...so give it a try!

2-0 out of 5 stars A Weak Read - Filled with Ads and Stereotypes
I like the idea of a bilingual magazine, but LATINA's self-involved "spanglish" can be juvenile and borders on offensive at times. Although attempting to bridge the gap between the two languages that dominate US Hispanic society, it fails to make a connection in either one.

I've subscribed for a year and although I enjoy some of the articles and beauty tips as much as the next woman, I feel the magazine reads like a "poor-chica's" Nancy Drew mystery, with all its "buy-it-for-less" ads strategically inserted in the actual articles. That smacks of editorial sell out and lack of integrity. Plus, most of the articles seem to be written for 18-22 year olds. I don't know about you, but I grew up a long time ago!

Besides - Latinas (and all Latinos for that matter) have much more on their minds than the latest trends in mascara, runway fashion or shampoo! The magazine, though occassionally interesting, makes us appear two-dimensional, reinforcing negative images with its made-up language and limited editorial focus. It's as if LATINA is written for just one kind of Hispanic woman - a "Nuyorkina teen" with nothing on her mind except boys, sex and cosmetics!

For a much better read about Latinos in the US and our many contributions to the arts, culture and language of America, Hispanics would do far better to read Selecciones, Cristina or People en Español. At least those magazine offer more depth, news-worthiness, and expertise on fashion, beauty and the arts. Plus, reading in spanish means nothing if real MEANING is lost in translation - something LATINA succeeds at. With made up words and VERY loose use of both languages the magazine doesn't connect with either culture or present a unifying identity. Instead it often reinforces the finger-snappin'-salsa-lovin'-big-hipped vision of women of color. That's not something Latinas need these days - we can read AND think AND shop AND learn AND work in two languages - why do we feel we have to choose one or the other? Latina seems to think we must or - GOD forbid - we'll miss out on the latest trends for Fall Fashion! Que pena!

Sad thing is...advertisers seem to love it for all the wrong reasons (probably because they can read the english and dismiss the spanish.) That's too bad - our language should not be wrapped up in a neat package like LATINA as that undermines our common Hispanic identity. Instead, our bond of language should be celebrated and encouraged among Latino youth (the very target LATINA goes after.) We acculturate, not assimilate. We must incorporate the many worlds of Hispanic America (Spaniards and Boricuas, Cubanos and Argentinas, Mexicanas, Colombianas y Peruanos, etc.)through our beautiful language rather than kow-towing to advertisers and companies who dismiss us because they cannot read our words. That means they prefer we read THEIRs and at least for this reader, I CHOOSE to do both regardless of whether or not advertisers like it. Reading "en español" sets me apart and gives me an edge, plus it gives me a unique perspective I never get in LATINA.

Celebrate our culture AND our language - and maintain it for generations to come --- a good magazine like People Español or Vanidades can help you do that. A poor product like LATINA just undermines our own future.

5-0 out of 5 stars great find
I live in Europe and my sister sent me a copy of Latina that she received from a friend. I enjoyed it so much I subscribed.
I like the the diversity of latin women represented because each latin country has its own culture. I like the realistic make-up and fashion ideas that are not found in typical anglo magazines for Latin women. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Ideas on how to improve yourself
Many people will find this magazine shallow, but I don't really believe them. I am reading it non stop since the last semester, and I have to recognize it's well-written, it has great articles on health issues so guys can understand it; for example, there was a story on heart disease which was very compelling and informative. You will find exercises there if you want to pump up, I have been using them for a while and mixing them up as a routine I can follow and I'm pleased for the results; it's a nice first step if you're a beginner but then you'll have to take it a little forward. It has a simple, no-nonsense and humorous attitude which makes it even more enjoyable to read. I think it's good for your money's worth. just don't take the relationships articles way too seriously (by the way, they're NOT intended to be taken seriously) ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Different.
So, looking to get really buff and wanting a magazine for some tips? Well there is Men's Workout among the wide variety of choices out there. I think they have really good tips, like useful things to know about grooming or stretching or losing weight. I've noticed sometimes they reuse their workout tips though and sometimes there isn't too much information. However, some may not mind because it is compensated by pictures of guys. With a glossy design and pretty men, Men's Workout may be the perfect magazine. If you prefer something very informative to the workout/exercise related field, try a different one like Men's Health.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Motivation
Detailed, and very extensive. I personally find this magazine more motivating, than informive (although the workout examples are good none-the-less). I like having more images than text, and most of the models drive me to improve my own body. Some people may find the images somewhat "revealing", but for those who appriciate the male physique regardless of social barriers will come to appriciate this magazine.

5-0 out of 5 stars Pleasantly Aroused and Inspired
I am a new subscriber to your magazine and I must admit that the models are absolutely inspiring for me. The detailed exercises are also a sure way of evolving your body into a work of art. Im not Picaso or Davinci for that matter, but I'll be damned if I dont create a work of art...with Men's Workout of course... did I mention that I can't help but get aroused at the same time?

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Magazine
excellent magazine of its type. The color and feel of the the magazine are topnotch. I find the pictures of the male physic are very well done and show the exercises very well. There are more photos than dialog, which is great. I like visual along with explanation of what is going on. It makes more sense to me than trying to visulize what is sometimes being said.

5-0 out of 5 stars Workouts for an alternative lifestyle with good taste
I don't write long reviews
If you're ... you will find the pictures inside
very suggestive and beautifull but, that doesn't take away from the fact that the same pictures will inspire any member of the male species (... or straight) into trying to achieve a better body, and the exercises depicted within do truly work. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A very interesting and useful magazine!
I am fascinated by herbs and the use of medicinal plants to prevent and treat diseases and this magazine is my favorite. It has in depth articles which discuss the uses of specific herbs but also includes articles on general health topics. It has a readable format and also beautiful photography. It would appeal to serious students of herbology as well as those who have only casual interest in natural health topics.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Yoga Magazine I've seen!!!
I think that Yoga International is, hands down, the best magazine on this topic. It has interesting, well written articles on all aspects of yoga (philosophy, life style, meditation, sanskrit chants, etc.) and beautiful photographs. I read it cover to cover as soon as it comes. In addition, the magazine is supplemented by its website where I've been able to actually hear the pronounciation of sanskrit chants.

To give you a flavor of the magazine, a recent issue (May 2003) included the following articles: Awakening to the Gayatri Mantra; Postures to Activate the Lymph System for Breast Care; Awakening Spirit, A Joyful Practice: Cultivating the Moment; Really Relaxing, The Yoga Sutra: Four Pillars of Concentration, Descendants of Gods (by Huston Smith), and Everyday Ayurveda. In addition, there was a wonderful editorial offering a alternate perspective on viewing the world in these times when many people are viewing everything through a lens of fear. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars If you think you know it, you don't until you read this!
I'm an everyday fitness enthusiast who prides herself on knowing more than the average person when it comes to training, techniques and supplements...until I read Real Solutions, this magazine is a must for explaining, guiding and making complete sense of our bodies and how they work and what we need to put in them to make them more effective. It seems every article has been written in a way that it makes complete sense to anyone reading whether knowledgable or not...you can't fail to be impressed by the superior level of technical advice put into everyday language....these guys are to be adhered to if you want to achieve your personal best in whatever field you train in....it's a must, in fact it's more than that, if you're serious about pushing yourself as far as you can, it's one of life's essentials...sounds dramatic I know, but it's made so much difference in the way I approach my workouts and what I eat and what supplements I take.Thank you.

5-0 out of 5 stars Real Solutions Magazine
Real Solutions Magazine is different from most publications which attempt to print the "secrets" to bodybuilding and fitness success but fall short of valid information and end up just being catalogues for supplement companies to sell their products.Real Solutions Magazine offers easy to understand and usable information on every fitness related subject you can think of.This is not just a magazine about what to eat and how to train, but tackles overlooked elements such as goal setting and mental stratagies. After a few issues, it is apparrant that this is more than a magazine but more like a step-by-step guide to help all aspiring bodybuilders and fitness enthusiasts create and achieve goals and reach the pinnacle of their physical endeavor. It is obvious that the writers and editors of Real Solution Magazine not only are committed to the magazine's success, but they have a passion for helping others succeed as well!

5-0 out of 5 stars The most truthful fitness magazine out there!
I've been a reader for nearly two years and I always read it cover to cover!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Fitness Info I'm Really Looking For
I've read lots of muscle magazines and fitness books, but RealSolutions Magazine tops them all.I'm looking for information that targets the average guy trying to get and stay healthy. In this magazine I get reliable nutrition advice, great suggestions on workouts and muscle development, and sound tips on choosing supplements. It isn't full of explicit things that offend a decent person, nor does it waste my time on non-related material. The format is pleasing--good quality paper and artistic layout. The only drawback--it's not a monthly publication.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Magazine for Beginners and Advanced Bodybuilders
Real Solutions Magazine has officially become one of the best health and fitness magazines on the market today.I believe it's going to not only fill the shoes of the now extinct Muscle Media, but it will surpass it.

I highly recommend this magazine to all who are serious about getting a better body and shaping up! ... Read more
